ALT - 0009: WORK
[ Panel 1 ]
AUTUMN: GET OUT. I have to go to work now.
CADENCE: …you have a JOB?
[ Panel 2 ]
AUTUMN: I may be young, but I am RESPONSIBLE, you know!
CADENCE: What do you do?
[ Panel 3 ]
AUTUMN: I work with kids. Basically tutoring and babysitting...
CADENCE: Aw! That’s cute. Sounds REWARDING!
[ Panel 4 ]
AUTUMN: It is.
::: Autumn is fighting off a pile of toddlers with a ruler as they leap at her at every angle. They are clearly insane and hocked up on sugar. ::

oh children, the untrained monkey generations of tomorrow, oh how i love to hate them
lol, so easy to hate. ^_~
to see them is to know them is to hate themand its nice to find a person who also finds them horribly repulsive
Poor kids. :PCongrats on the ISBN number! I remember being so happy when I got mine… I was so tempted to hop into the database and create a bunch more just for fun. But that would have been unprofessional. *shifty eyes*
haha, what about poor Autumn!?! She’s about to get stabbed withscissorsby one of them kids! Thanks, it’s pretty unreal seeing this whole thing unfold! :] You did create a bunch more, didn’t you? *_*
Pfffft. There is a reason kiddyscissorsare made of plastic! :PI created more when I made more books, so I limited my temptation. XD Each time I need to make one though, oh… It’s like I’m in a playground, clicking oneverything. XD
Sounds like my kind of babysitting. lol
haha, cept you may not make it home alive.
Creepiest kids ever.
Aren’t all kids creepy?
That is way beyond awesome that you do work with the Autistic. There really isn’t enough people who are willing to do that kind of work especially for a wide age spectrum. You are awesome.
Yeah I work with the full range of the spectrum. A few of the people I work with you can barely tell they have it at all, others there is no denying it. It’s an interesting disorder to say the least.. but still sad that people have to deal with it. :/
I still think it’s awesome that you do that. I really mean that, there’s not enough people who do work with kids, much less are willing to work with those who are special needs.Long long time ago in High School, I would sometimes get to help out during my study hall* and go over to an elementary school and teach the younger kids how to work with computers**. It was fun and I loved working with the little boogers most of the time, but I can understand what you mean by how they can drive you up the wall. There was one kid in the bunch I’d deal with a few times. Very withdrawn, but loved playing with art supplies, wish the school had the money to be able to afford some art programs, I’d love to seen how he’d do with it.
*Study Hall, how many of you little punks even know what that is anymore?
**I might not have had the internet, but I always had some talent for working with computers back then. Too bad I wasn’t good enough to make a career out of it.
Those kids seem to be enjoying themselves at least.Congrats on the book. From what I’ve seen, it’s lookin pretty damn legit for a first time deal. Can’t wait to get mine. I promise I’ll bury it in the corner… I MEAN… I’ll stick it up on its own shelf.
On a side note, I had to look up how to spell bury. For the life o me, I couldn’t remember how it was spelled. I kept want to spell it “barey” or “beary” or something, but I knew that was wrong cause o the squiggle red line under it.
I’m autistic. Will you work with me? *Doe eyes*
Sometimes a saint is just a demon with a nice shirt on. You, sir, are one of those saints (but in a good way, considering that you need the patience of a brick to work with the autistic). That’s not so much a babysitting job as a battle royal. But the question is, will Autumn make it home alive?
She probably died shortly after this strip ended. ^_~
She’d better learn Ryu’s Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyakuif she wants to live.
