GENTLEMAN 1: I SIMPLY said “I got 99 problems and a BITCH aint one."
now this one is a fairly common word to be used in casual conversation.
Is it really? I’ve honestly never heard it used in real life.
He breaks it to her. She stabs his face. Now they’re even.
A former coworker in a job long ago once had a plaque on her station with the following saying.A woman takes what you give her and multiplies it. You give her your love, she gives you her heart, you give her a house, she gives you a home, you give her any crap, she’ll drop a ton of shit on you.
That seems apt in this situation.
That is deeply profound, and indeed both very appropriate and true.
All I got to say is that she was the vengeance is mine type. It’s also what ended up getting her an official meeting with management that boiled down to them telling her to start looking for gainful employment in another business, preferably by the end of the month.I missed that venomous witch during the next few years. It was great to have someone who didn’t care about office politics and was upfront with you. I just made damned sure to never piss her off.
I hate those sorts of “sterile” workplaces. So long as she wasn’t threatening people (especially customers/clients/whatever) with, say, death, and didn’t carry weapons and armaments in her purse, then what’s wrong with a bit of venting?
The sad thing was that she got the can because she got into a yelling match with a courier who didn’t get the idea of keeping his hands to himself, and new management decided this was one time too many of her getting written up for being unprofessional, regardless of what the shit head did to her and even if it was warranted. She got fired, and he was reported to the company he worked for and was never sent over to us again.Yes, she could be vile, but a good half the time it was because mistakes were made that could cause huge problems that could come back to bite us in the ass if not rectified immediately. I got to meet up with one of the veteran managers from that place a few months ago, and he even told me that the excuse used to can her was crap, but the others overrode him. He made sure to write her the best damn letter of recommendation he possibly could.
Sadder thing, another worker in a different section who was a violent asshole that all but came to blows with other coworkers was still there and just as big of a bastard as ever. If he didn’t work in a section where he never met patients, I’d sincerely hope he would have been shit-canned in a heartbeat. Maybe if he hadn’t of married the sister of a manager he would’ve been gone.
That place is gone now, management decisions ended up going around and bankrupted them. Big surprise.
Damn, and I thought my workplace was poorly managed…At least the one seemingly honest manager (wow, there really is such a thing? Huh…) was decent enough to give her a respectable reference.
That job was good for me, it gave me work during college, and experience that ended up paying off big time after I had left. It took four years, but damn did it pay off big time, and the manager I talked about was a damned good man, just should have found a better group to be employed by.
I like that saying. :]
your story reminds me of days long since past when i had to get off my lazy ass and actually work for a living. but had evolved and learned how to work for people without leaving my house.yea my life is fun
I kind of hate that saying, but then I’m not the vengeance is mine type.
