I’m also too far from any of the coasts, so I can’t do any kind of a local con. Six years ago when I had the time to do cons, I didn’t have the money for travel. Now that I have the ability to save up, I don’t have the time to go. Tom Waits was right, I don’t want to grow up anymore.
I live in one of the Rocky Mountain states. Anything around Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho or even Montana would be interesting to know if you got some info. Hell, my passport is up to date, I might even take a trip to Canada.
Well, even if you have no plans to be there, do you know of any good/decent ones to check out around my area? I could drive to Phoenix AZ, but it would have to be real good weather and probably in the spring or summer.
I’ll keep it mind, maybe not for 2012, but maybe 2013. Thanks!Bad news: Looking at the maps, I’m going to have find out about flying, the shortest route is 14 hours and no way in hell am I driving through some of the areas google suggested, especially in January with the weather in the 0-20 degree range, the truck wouldn’t survive a trip longer than an hour before throwing in the towel and dropping dead, and my car would be a deadly weapon on some of those roads if it’s snowing.
No… I was stupid and not paying attention to what site I was reading when I posted that. Apparently there are a few comic cons in AZ, I was in one that meets in January.
Where do you live again? It seems all the good cons are on the two coasts… the stuff in the middle I never really hear a lot of good things about. :/Apparently the Toonhole dudes are LA locals so I’m sure they will do more cons on the west coast than anything. heh
Hey now, the few times I’ve driven through the wasteland that is Ohio, I didn’t find it to be that bad. Now staying there for a weekend for a con on the other hand, I’m not so sure. I don’t think I’d like the idea of directions being based on how many rows of corn I have to cut through to get around from hotel to convention center or a restaurant.
Oh yeah, don’t get me wrong there ARE cons all around the country, but the “big ones” are on the coast lines. The top ones I know of are: San Diego Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, New York Comic Con, and Phoenix Comic Con (which isn’t coastal, but still considered west coast). I know that C2E2 in Chicago is supposed to be decent and all that… but I never hear as many good things about that one as I do the others.
D’awww. I know it’s her sword, but the way Autumn is straddling Cadence, her sword handle makes it look like Autumn is “sticking up” for her as well, lol. Just hope Joseph doesn’t let her down this time.still lookin good man!
Actually, when I write her script sometimes I hear that myself. It’s not supposed to be southern, but she’s supposed to have that sorta of “sweet innocence” that would come with that southern bell accent… even tho she’s pervy as hell.
That kind of sounds like most of the mormon girls who live in Louisiana. Sweet, innocent sounding, and good god when anyone who goes to their church is gone, they open their mouths you feel like they’re channeling a lothario who just got back from two months at sea.
That is damned lies and possibly propaganda. Usually, the sweet innocent ones are the boring ones. Give me a nice weirdo who practices Santeria and isn’t always on up to date on their meds.
And lo, another lost to big boring’s propaganda machine. Next thing you know, you’re going to go to bed at eight in evening, start drinking camomile tea, and wax poetic over the virtues of plain vanilla over french vanilla as you eat saltine crackers because the rest are just too wild for you.
Wish I could make it to all these cons, I have yet to get to one.Toonhole is one of my favorite comics, always a good read.

Whereabouts do you live in the US?
I live in one of the Rocky Mountain states. Anything around Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho or even Montana would be interesting to know if you got some info. Hell, my passport is up to date, I might even take a trip to Canada.
Ah, yeah I have no plans for any shows around that area, but I’m planning to do some Canadian shows eventually. heh

I’m doing PHXCC (in AZ) in 2012, it was an awesome show this year. I’d say if anything, check out that one, definitely worth your time. :]

Aw christ, that wasn’t the official website for PHXCC, it was another convention that meets in January. It looks like the plans are for May.
LOL there is another con called PHXCC?

The only good middle of the country con I’ve heard of is Ohiocon. But that’s in Ohio.I mean, Ohio.

Haha, i KNEW someone was gonna point that out… was curious who it would be… leave it to YOU to be the one! :PThanks! :]
I chuckled at Autumn’s comment and then lol’d @ “boners are funny.”
Lol, JUST IN CASE People didn’t get that it was a dick joke. ^_~
Oh I get it, it’s like that sex thing.
Haha, yeah, that “Sex thing” that does stuff. :P
Yep, that’s Autumn all right. She knows how to “creatively misunderstand”…
She specifically know’s how to creatively misunderstand in a sexual context. :3
does anyone else give autumn a little bit of a southern accent? Sweetheart is just an inately southern term
Actually, when I write her script sometimes I hear that myself. It’s not supposed to be southern, but she’s supposed to have that sorta of “sweet innocence” that would come with that southern bell accent… even tho she’s pervy as hell.

You know what they say about the “Sweet Innocent ones,” their always the freakiest in bed. :P

Boring at everything… but freaky sex! :P

No, I haven’t given her a Southern accent. Most of the time, in my head, she sounds a lot like Kari Byron from Mythbusters…
Well… that reference was lost on me. Is that good… or bad?
Mythbusters is a show on Discovery Channel, and Kari Byron is one of the hosts, and hottttttt
Oh Autumn… always finding the sexual innuendos in everything…I see you fiddled with the site design a bit. Very nice!
I wonder if she finds nonsexual innuendos in sexual things?I did! Glad you like it. :]
I see a very sexual confrontation between Autumn and the Gaga on the distant horizon….
Sounds like an awesome fan fic! ^_~
