I really liked that one until it suddenly gets all happy hardcore on you. Not fully sure if that’s the right way to describe that one little section in that song… but i never like when Techno makes that particular set of sounds.
Dubsteps roots are in jamaican Dub, so generally speaking, check out out people in jaimaca dance to Dub (ive seen a few videos circulating around in the past) and maybe add some more twitching to it, and thats probably about it, hahaha… uh…its also really really fucking awesome when your in a pile of women, and your all on MDMA, and there are multicolored lights all over the room strobing in sync with the music…that..was an awesome night… and the only experience involving drugs I ever enjoyed.
Oh for sure, I totally agree with you, if you dig around the genre long enough you’ll find some really solid songs. That’s definitely like most genres… except I find with Dubstep a lot of people are TRYING to replicate the sound.. and don’t know what they are doing and end up making piss poor shit.. which is giving the whole genre a bad name. I blame Garageband for this.
ugh, totally, so far its been really hard to find good, stuff, i pretty much havent found almost anything other than whats already been listed here in the comments.. except one random song on yahoo which I liked called “indian dubstep” and has a woman belly dancing in the background…
I actually had you in mind when I drew Joseph! :P This particular joke pretty much developed out of a variety of conversations from the live stream. One song i listened to literally had people having sex in the song.. and I think the jokes sorta grew from that.
Just like all forms of music, there is some I like, and there is some I really dont like.Example from the comments here. Skrillex – rock n roll, I liked. the harry potter dubstep, did not really like. and I like most things harry potter…
Oh, and I totally feel Josephs pain. I’ve been places like that, where I just want to go punch all the speakers out.On the plus side, looks like he and Cadence were kind of bonding, ish?
The worst is when your stuck at a venue like that because of some sort of obligation… cos then you have to just suck it up. BOO!The sorta are aren’t they?
The spidery looking robot on the left, do I even want to task what the hell it’s doing with that caulking gun? And what’s the story with the creepy son of a bitch to the right with that smile straight out of a Charles Manson interview.

Having sampled some dubstep beats, I think I’ll follow Joseph’s example *THUD!*. It certainly is an acquired taste (to me, it’d be like mixing anchovies with Brussels sprouts)…I like Metal Beard’s expression on panel 2 though, it’s like “pfft, wuss…”
It’s interesting to me, when I found dubstep I thought to myself “FINALLY A GENRE FOR ME!” … i was really into it for a while… till i realized that most of the genre sucks, only a few who know what they are doing do a great job.. then the rest suck ass. lol
Ugh… I can totally understand Joseph. Dubstep all night long – horrible!Acutally I listen to dubstep, house, hip-hop, rap, electro – really everything a “normal” metalhead wouldn’t listen to! Somehow I always manage to find the few great songs (in my opinion) in these genres. But sadly I don’t like most of the songs others would call great. So I often share this facial expression with Joseph. -_-
And by the way: WTF is METALbeard doing in such a club?!
Have you heard the “Lamb of God – Laid to Rest” mix by Andy’s iLL? That’s a cool example of cross genre mash-ups. You get a good metal song mixed with a pretty interest dubstep take on it.Well this venue is playing a broad mix of music this night… the first band was folk-rock, this one is dubstep, the next is Metal and the last is pop. :3 So he’s hangin’ around for the metal band.
This is still my favorite cover of Lamb of God’s “Set to Fail” If you like it, check out the rest of Andy’s channel, the man is a genius in converting songs to other genre’s, and making it work. And of course, not Andy’s work, but awesome in a Soilwork kind of way.
Only this one I will never get… Is it acutally the best or the worst mash-up ever? – Whatever I guess even if you don’t like it you have to admit that it’s a good work.
I’d say that’s a pretty astute way to see it. As dubstep is evolving over time, it’s start to become more and more melodic and interesting. The way it sounded 10 years ago, I’d disagree, but today, yeah for sure.
Dude, an Andy’s iLL Mix! Good call on that one. At first I wasn’t too keen on the System of a Down one.. but after it was on for a while, I warmed up to it.I linked this in the forum back in the day, but this is probably one of my favorite Dubstep Mixes …minus the terrible Willow Smith song… ARG!
It’s good background noise.
Noise being the keyword here. :P
try the harry potter dubstep from terrabyte frenzy. its solid.
I really liked that one until it suddenly gets all happy hardcore on you. Not fully sure if that’s the right way to describe that one little section in that song… but i never like when Techno makes that particular set of sounds.
Dubstep…. ugh, I see it as an alarm clock, and frankly… I’m already awake
Haha, I liked that phrasing! :]
The backlash is delicious. Too bad pointing out how terrible dubstep is will be mainstream in another month.
Yeah, right at this very moment I feel like it’s at its peak of interest… people will start to find it annoying/old by the end of the year I’m sure.
I’d go to that concert.
You horny fool! YOU LIKE TO WATCH ROBOTS HAVE SEX!?!… i mean listen to Dubstep music live?
I am admittedly not into dubstep. I don’t hate it, it’s just not my kind of music.
I can see it being a rather tough genre to fully get into, i personally like it, but it really is one of those “to each his own” sort of genres. haha
I didnt know how i felt about it at first, but then i heard Skrillex and fell in love… love at first hear
Skrillex is pretty bad ass, I’m also rather fond of Bassnecter, idk if you’ve heard of em, but I think he’s got some good tunes.
joenis, you already know i like dubstep. I think it’s amazing! But how does one dubstep?
I’m always curious what dancing to that music would look like, I assume it would look something like a seizure.
Bad dubstep (wubwubwubwubwub) is boring, good dubstep is closer to electro or electro house than it is to bad dubstep.

oops, long time ago, i totally meant youtube…this is what happens when you talk about dubstep while drunk, and listening to dubstep…
YOU KNOW MY OPINIONS ON DUBSTEP!!! Actually you got it pretty much right? Was that one of my lines?
I actually had you in mind when I drew Joseph! :P This particular joke pretty much developed out of a variety of conversations from the live stream. One song i listened to literally had people having sex in the song.. and I think the jokes sorta grew from that.
i like dubstep from time to time. and i LOVE dubstep when im drunk.
Dubstep is also a lot of fun to drive fast on the freeway with. :]
i dont know why i didnt think of this earlier. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGSVYgcy24Q
I like techno types. They’re all good.
Word.
the only way i would ever luv dubstep is if i was so drunk nails on a chalk board would sound like the voices of an death angels orcestra
lol, that paints a not so pretty picture doesn’t it? ^_~
Just like all forms of music, there is some I like, and there is some I really dont like.Example from the comments here. Skrillex – rock n roll, I liked. the harry potter dubstep, did not really like. and I like most things harry potter…
Agreed, there is always good and bad in every genre.

They are all up to some sort of debauchery.

Dubstep gives me eargasms. See: Chrispy’s take on Inspector Gadget, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga6jM4yRyHw
Damn, that’s pretty sick! I think I’m gonna have to look more into this Chrispy. :] Thanks for sharing that.

Semi NSFW link.
It worked, I just had to approve it cos it had too many links in it.
Weird, that got messed up. Let’s try again.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuf15QQxU4U
LOL random!
i liked this one in particular:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=339NoHgMihc
Awesome! Man, that could easily sound like something The Berzerker would come up with.
Wow Chaos! That song was wicked cool!
Nice mash-ups! They can be just as awesome as good covers or remixes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kspPE9E1yGM
Only this one I will never get… Is it acutally the best or the worst mash-up ever? – Whatever I guess even if you don’t like it you have to admit that it’s a good work.
i never figured out if it improved justin bieber or made Slipknot worse.
I… I actually liked Slipknot… and Justin B… that is just damned wrong!I’m going to listen to this and to and thisand just pretend that didn’t happen.
to me, dubstep is to techno like heavy metal is to rock… but know that i know little about music genres…dubstep isn’t all that bad.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDlif8Km4S4&ob=av3e
