Not only is there a great sense of border pitch black humor, I love the way Rickard uses poses in his illustrations. Maybe it’s just me, but I could actually see some of the poses he uses being used in real life photographs of friends conversing, and that’s always been one of those things I wish more artists would pay attention to. Then again that’s me, and I’ve got a bit of a warped sense of reality.
Haha, yeah I noticed that too. Hopefully he’ll send me an update with the tattoos on it. He’s a really busy guy though so it may be a while. He does two webcomics a week, so the fact that he was able to put this one together for me was a blessing!
I noticed that too. She went from Goth to….Tanned Visual Kei. Doesnt look bad that… Now that I look closely… The emoti brooch and the Skull pendant are missing as well.
You have to keep in mind guys, this is a guest strip. So the artists rendition doesn’t have to match my own. I agree with Coldesta too, people don’t always wear the same things.. would get boring. The only thing that I think “matters” that he missed was Cadences tattoo’s, but regardless I love everything he did for it. :]
Oh I like the work. I just see the brooch as a sort of signature characteristic….like supermans spiffy red underwear. The Pendant was a handmade gift from a friend so I kinda felt it had sentimental value or something. ……Cadence has a left eye!
It’s interesting that you see the brooch as a signature. For me, personally, I see the eye markings on her face and the white streak to be her signatures more than her clothing accessories.
Let me tell you something about that…That is a perfectly reasonable opinion and I’ve got no problem with it. If Rickard is reading this, I honestly am sorry for being harsh and sounding like I wasn’t into what you did. Just the fact you did this is miles above and beyond the call of awesome and I’ll gladly write my words on paper and eat it with a side of crow.
LMFAO OMG! I love how, in Panel 1, Cadence is wearing a version of the Sweet Tits shirt! ^.^ Pretty damn good job, Rickard! Also, Happy Birthday, dude!
Haha, yeah I loved that he slipped that in there as well. We’ve been talking about the fact that I’d like to make that a shirt soon… hopefully that will be in production as soon as the book is sent to the printers and paid for!Glad you liked his strip, I sure loved it. :]
i can understand her feelings i dont like it when people mess with my stuff even if i am not using it, like a room mate i once had kept borrowing my blender and because its mine i have to clean it thoroughly cuz i dont trust her to do it right, and one day it died on meneedless to say i went ape shit on her ass and tossed her into the Grand Canyon
no harsh is pumping her full of date rape drugs tieing her up, carring her body into a helicopter waiting for her to wake up just to hear her scream as you push her into shark infested water in the middle of nowhere
This is definitely a guest strip for the books. Hell, I might just add another webcomic to my shortcuts list.I have to say, even with those differences like Cadence’s tattoo, this one is still alright.
Rickard definitely has a top notch strip. If I was to recommend anything to people he’d be in that top list I’d recommend readings. Also, speaking of which he made the deadline and his strip is actually going to show up IN my book. :]

I completely agree. When I first saw this strip I was impressed by the natural feel it presented, especially panel 1. Rickard is an awesome artists!
Nice art and funny content but…..Wheres her tattoo?

One other thought. Isn’t Autumn lighter than Cadence? Or is my brain not processing colors properly today?

Bwahaha, Visual Kei is perfect! I could see her in a Dir En Grey video easily! Not harshing or hating on the comic, just something funny I noticed.

Its like having a second face. I can easily picture a scene that has Autumn trying to maintain a poker face while the brooch completely give her away.

Don’t worry about it, I highly doubt he took it as harsh! I think we all greatly appreciate the hard work he put into this awesome strip! :]

This is so spiffy. I love the rosy cheeks! The date panel is my faaaave.
He sure knows how to make a girl blush. ^_~

Lol, the Grand Canyon? Damn son. That’s harsh.
