most likely not =] i run apple software so i don’t usually get viruses. i would go to check for updates on his sites and the minute it loaded it would redirect me and i would see boobies and penis’ everywhere. no fun when all you’re looking for on the internet are good plot lines and a laugh or two.

Yay! A Nerf/scout/motokool reader! Welcome! Yeah, over time we comic artists get around, we meet each other and help one another out as often as we can. The nice the about the webcomics community is just that, it’s a community. :] Anyway, I’ve been trying to get rid of that damn thing from Scott’s sites for ages… I think I finally destroyed it. ::crosses fingers:: That sucks it sent you to a porn site though… what I got was just a virus protection software download thing when I’d go to his sites. I’m hoping you didn’t get a virus then?Thanks for the comment. :]

haha, yeah I’m just giving Scott a hard time. When i met him, he didn’t really know anything about publishing his comic to the web, he’s come a long way since then.Honstly, I still am clueless about my actual computer.. i don’t know the first thing about what in this thing… I’m just getting savvy with web stuff because of things like this malware attack on Scott. After dealing with enough of it, you start to learn whats what. :P

I was ALMOST gonna do Calgary Expo, but I was nervous about the trip… I haven’t heard any reviews from anyone if its a good show or not.. so I opted out on it, at least for this year. There is a potential that Scott MIGHT be doing that show, but he’s up in the air on that one too. Maybe next year, if anything that would be the Canada show I’d be doing. We’ll see though.I’m semi nervous about Anime Expos too.. I’m not sure if my comic falls close enough into the line of things that those types of readers would be into. LAWLS is not formatted like a manga, but it does take influence from it… I’m not sure if thats apparent enough to people or anything to take the risk, just yet. :/

Well either way, if you ever hear about a “must do” type of convention up there, let me know, I’ll investigate it! There’s always cons I or my friends don’t know about. haha

Glad you’re on the forums now, its easier to keep in touch with people. :]

Well, there’s Anime Evolution. It’s of a decent size but the fan base might be different than what you’re used to. It’s not typically the kind of Con I’d go to unless there was something of particular interest *cough*LAWLS*cough*.There’s also Vancouver Comicon which from my understanding is pretty small (it fits inside a 3000 square foot building) but it’s probably closer to the fan base that you are used to.

I’m still pretty new to the area myself but if you’re serious about attending cons up here, I’m sure you know people who could give you more info.

Definitely get in touch with me over the forums if you’re ever in the Vancouver area for any reason, it’d be cool to meet you.

XDAre there any cons in Vancouver? I’d love to do a show up there for sure. I haven’t been to Vancouver in ages, when I lived in Seattle for a while I wen up there once or twice though, and loved it. :]

It’s a shame you can’t come down. I did ECCC last year and it was an overwhelming-blast of a time. To date it probably was one of my more memorable convention experiences.
