Personally, I prefer blue Joseph.
Yeah, it was the color I felt more naturally fit him. Though, I do like the green as well.
Blue was the right choice. Green could fit him, but it just felt odd on him in the alternate strip, like instead of personality it was more of a sickly color. Just didn’t feel right. Also, love how in his imagination, he’s got some serious guns going on when punching out Tyson.
Only in his mind is he buff enough to beat someone up. ^_~
Between those two specific shades, definitely blue. If you went with darker like Kelley or Forrest Green, maybe that. And AltU Cadence and Joey make a cute pair.
You like dark greens? I hate them for some reason. Also, the characters need to be bright as to pop more against the dark BGs.Yeah, a part of me feels like if I started LAWLS today, it would be more like this and occasionally jump into the deeper stories.. rather than the other way around. Oh wells, what’s done is done, and I can still explore this side of my characters as well. :]
Yeah, in the green spectrum, I prefer darker. I see what you mean though in needing to stand out against the background. This blue works well too :)I like the way you started the series out. Gives the story a path to evolve down
Yeah, the bright side of this approach is that you are already family/have developed feelings for the characters. They aren’t just random people doing random things now. I thought about that as well… it’s just sorta of backwards based on what I think people normal would? heh
I love that you did that panel just like Punch Out!!
I love that you did that panel just like Punch Out!!
OG Fighting, Like a Boss.
I agree! Blue works much better with him. Personally, I like more of a jade/sage/moss green. Actually, green is my favorite color. ^.^ But the blue does work better with Joseph!
It’s interesting how a character/person can just have a color, its almost like their aura. For instance, I can’t imagine Cadence being anything but pink at this point.
If only it was a god-damned day off. From a traditional retail sense, Boxing Day was used to blowout everything you didn’t sell over Christmas. It’s turned as self-driven as Black Friday in recent years, mind you.At least nobody gets sprayed or shot over an Xbox. XD
People on Black Friday are insane… I tend to only shop at Best Buy on Black Friday because they’ve sorta got a good system down these days. It’s actually a calm organized experience at the Best Buy near my house… Walmart on the other hand… now that’s just hell on earth.
Tucker’s pretty much got it down (do you live in Australia, by any chance?). Boxing Day did used to be a day off (we had this discussion over in WOI), but some retail giants here had the laws overturned a few years ago (although this year seemed to have gone back to being closed). But to be honest, Denis, people here are about as confused about the idea of Boxing Day as you are. I think it’s just here now because it’s Traditional.
LOL glad to know its just as confusing the the people who celebrate it as to the people who don’t! :3
It’s not a celebration, it’s when you go and spend your Christmas monies/gift-cards on super blow-out deals of all the shit nobody else wanted. Only recently did we actually start bringing things in just for the occasion. The local Play N Trade has it right. They just make a bunch of used overstock down (and a few new things that don’t move), and promote bundle pricing. Clear out the store with the giant shit-vacuation of the year. And then again in July (Christmas in July). If you think about it, it’s a pretty epic system for moving dung.
That’s exactly how I feel about black Friday “a pretty epic system for moving dung.”
But here’s the thing: do stores over-order for the summer, or for the holiday season?
It’s America… we over do everything in excess when we really shouldn’t. heh
The point was actually: when does it make sense to clear house? =P
Canada, actually.
Nah, keep the blue, like his speech bubbles in the main comic, it sort of characterises him.
Joseph’s bubbles for whatever reason have always been white actually. lol some reason i never colored his… I cant remember why now.
I don’t even know where I got the idea that Joseph’s speech bubbles were blue… *facepalm*.Don’t mind me.
Meh, I should have made them blue. Reeder was the only character that had blue… before he was brought back by the demon.
Boxing Day was the one day a year The Master served The Servants, the servants one guarenteed day off a year.
Man… I really need one of them servant things. ::cough:: I mean assistant ::cough:: I’d get so many more comics done that way!
You could always post a wanted ad. I’m sure there’s a load of people that would love to collab on LAWLs with you.
I’d love to have an assistant, seriously would help the day go by faster and take a load off my back, but at the moment I don’t think I could pay them well enough to make it worth their while. :/
I’m sure there are plenty of people that would love to have any link to L.A.W.L.s. I know I’m one. ^.^
yup this pretty much sums up Joesph as good a way that i could ever do
HAHA …what, naive?
Boxing day isn’t a day off if you’re in retail, like me. :(
True, Retail never seems to be fair to its employees. When I worked at Target and at Staple they had me work the worse hours ever on holiday’s. Especially Black Friday. ><
It’s because, on christmas it’s normal to give gifts to your underlings but awkward the other way, and to make up for it, on boxing day people give gifts to their superiors.
…that comment confuses me. On Boxing Day you give gifts too the underlings.. not the other way around?
Nice looking store, do they sell hats?
