LAWLS - 0040: SOMETHING DARK IS COMING
[ Panel 1 ]
:: A group of Blue Beans are minding their own business. The beans in the foreground are having a ordinary everyday silent discussion. A bean in the mid-ground is trying to figuring out what a rock is. A single bean in the background is inspecting his fist. ::
[ Panel 2 ]
:: The beans continue their daily routine. A foreground bean is now bored with the silent discussion as the mid-ground bean is attempting to shove the rock fully into his mouth. The background bean figures out how to use his fist and punches himself in the face. A dark luminous shadow begins to fade into the picture. ::
[ Panel 3 ]
:: The front beans now noticed the shadow as they are fully immersed in it’s presence, they look up. The silent talker looks scared, his previously depressed talking partner now looks happy, he places his hands on his companions shoulder; he knows what is to come. The mid-ground bean has a mouth full of rock, it’s now stuck. The background bean knocked himself out. They’re ineffectual existences are about to meet their purpose. ::
[ Panel 4 ]
:: Rudy is standing above the Blue Beans, covered in tasty entrails. He is ready for a second lunch. ::
RUDY: ZOM NOMNOM NOM

I used to follow Rikki on Twitter… weirdest freakin’ dude ever.. other than Jhonen of course. I met Jhonen last year at ECCC, cool dude, shy and really to himself though.
Really? I imagined Jhonen to be this really bitter shell of a human being who regularly projectile vomits his corrosive plasma onto Hot Topic shoppers.
I think he keeps to himself so that he doesn’t snap on people and murder then like his true inner being, JTHM. When he tweets at Johnny, I’m confident in saying that that is really what Jhonen is thinking. :3

It’s always a hard choice choosing between dialog or no dialog, it was a tough call, but it seems to have made this strip stronger. :]Even after a feast of bean people, Rudy will still be hungry. That’s all he ever is. Hungry.
